Our client, a leading aerospace industry organization, is seeking a Materials Engineer Castings Forgings Metallurgy to join their team. As a Materials Engineer Castings Forgings Metallurgy, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Sr Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Tempe, AZ Pay Range: $45-$51.40/hr DOE plus OT, benefits What's the Job? + Provide technical expertise and support in materials and process engineering for cast and/or forged aerospace products. + Collaborate across engineering teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards. + Participate in all phases of product development, from design to manufacturing, ensuring quality and compliance. + Engage with suppliers to resolve issues related to materials and processes, including conducting supplier audits when necessary. + Support new and existing cast/forged products, including aerospace gas turbine engines used for propulsion and auxiliary power. What's Needed? + Bacheloru2019s Degree in a STEM field such as Materials Science, Metallurgy, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering. + Experience in materials or process engineering within casting, forging, heat treatment, or related metallurgical environments. + Exposure to aluminum, steel, titanium, or nickel alloys (hands-on experience preferred but not required). + Familiarity with industry standards such as Nadcap or aerospace material specifications (nice to have). + Ability to troubleshoot material or process issues and communicate technical solutions collaboratively.
