About the Team The AI Adoption Strategy team partners with developers, engineering leaders, and enterprise stakeholders to: - Identify highu2011impact useu2011cases for generativeu2011AI developer tools. - Design and deliver enablement programs (workshops, tutorials, videos). - Track adoption metrics, gather feedback, and produce executiveu2011ready insights. - Champion AI ethics, security, and trust throughout the development lifecycle. The intern will support these efforts by providing datau2011driven research, analytics, and prototype visualizations that help the team prioritize initiatives and demonstrate ROI. Key Responsibilities - Research & Landscape Analysis u2013 Conduct literature reviews and market scans on emerging AIu2011assisted development tools, prompting techniques, and workflow automation. - Data Collection & Cleaning u2013 Aggregate usage data from internal telemetry, surveys, and community platforms; perform data wrangling, validation, and enrichment. - Adoption Metrics & Reporting u2013 Develop dashboards (Tableau) and analytical models to track adoption trends, user engagement, and productivity gains. - Prototype Analytics u2013 Build proofu2011ofu2011concept scripts in Python to simulate ROI scenarios (e.g., timeu2011saved per line of code, defectu2011rate reduction). Stakeholder Engagement u2013 Summarize findings for internal briefings; prepare concise executive slide decks and oneu2011page decision briefs. Community Enablement u2013 Participate in internal AI developer forums, answer datau2011related questions, and help organize hackathons or u201cAIu2011Officeu2011Hoursu201d sessions. Basic Qualifications: - Pursuing a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics/statistics, computer science, data science, information systems/business analytics - Demonstrated experience leading impactful datau2011science/analytics projects (e.g., research, openu2011source contributions, hackathon wins, internship deliverables) that yielded measurable outcomes. - Proficient in Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib/seaborn) and comfortable working in Jupyter notebooks. - Familiar with generativeu2011AI concepts such as largeu2011language models and prompt engineering. - Strong analytical, problemu2011solving, and datau2011visualization skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Desired Skills: - Experience with datau2011visualization libraries (Plotly, Streamlit, PowerBI, Tableau). - Understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation metrics, and basic statistical testing. - Handsu2011on exposure to OpenAI API, LangChain, Azure OpenAI, or similar generativeu2011AI platforms. - Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes (basic concepts), or cloud notebooks (Azure ML, SageMaker). - Understanding of stakeholder analysis, adoption frameworks (e.g., HEART, ADKAR), or experience running workshops. - Ethics & Trust Knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy, and security best practices. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $67,642 - $77,788.
