Child, Youth, & Family Services (CYFS) is seeking a well-qualified candidate to join our policy and program development team. The temporary part time Research Analyst, Principal position will support the Child Fatality Review Team with their reviews, logistics, reporting, and requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, ability to work both independently and as part of a team, perform work accurately and thoroughly to meet deadlines and strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, data, records collection, and reporting. This position involves developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. While the successful candidate will report directly to the Program Specialist for Child Safety, they will also receive requests and work closely with the chair of the independent Child Fatality Review Team. This position will be located in downtown Boise. This position is a non-classified position and exempt from classified state service and the rules of the Division of Human Resources and the Idaho Personnel Commission. Temporary positions are limited to working 1,385 hours in a 12-month period for any one state agency. Employees are eligible for benefits if they work twenty (20) hours or more per week and the term of employment is expected to exceed five (5) continuous months. This is a limited-service position. Length of limited-service appointments are determined by the availability of funds such as grants, alternative funding sources and/or timeframes such as pilot projects, alternative funding sources or program termination.
