In this remote role, based anywhere in the United States, you will lead strategy and execution with national post acute providers and major Integrated Delivery Networks, driving commercial access, contract wins and sustainable growth for Smith+Nephew.What will you be doing?Providing commercial leadership for the Smith+Nephew NPWT portfolio across the care continuum, with a focus on transitions of care and commercial access in national and large regional post acute accounts and major IDNsLeading and coordinating cross functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Clinical and Key Accounts to deliver post acute and care continuum strategies that support major IDN conversions and drive new revenueOwning key relationships with post acute providers such as home health agencies, managed wound care centers, long term care organizations, travelling physician groups, med surg and DME distributors, case management and home health societies and commercial health plansDeveloping and executing systematic account plans for national and large regional post acute customers and large IDNs, including pipeline development linked to associated acute care facilitiesBuilding execution plans for facility evaluations and conversions, coordinating cross organizational partners and setting referral strategies that support S+N converted acute businessReviewing account buying trends and opportunities using financial models to recommend, execute and manage pricing strategies, contracts and formulary positionsCreating and managing value add programs, and pioneering innovative contracting and partnership models that deepen customer relationships and drive long term profitable growthPartnering with internal stakeholders to align on IDN and strategic partner priorities, ensuring that sales, marketing and clinical initiatives are integrated and focused on continuum of care outcomesTraveling approximately 50 to 75 percent of the time to engage customers, support conversions and build strategic relationshipsWhat will you need to be successful?BA or BS degree requiredFive to seven or more years of medical sales experience, preferably within NPWT or related advanced wound careExperience in sales leadership or sales management preferred, ideally including Executive Sales Representative level experienceProven success engaging and selling to executives, including C suite, purchasing, case management and other senior stakeholdersDocumented proficiency in contract and formulary negotiations, with regional or national contracting experience highly desirableStrong verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of consistent sales achievement and strategic account successProficiency with the Challenger sales model or a comparable consultative selling approachStrong analytical skills and strategic thinking capability, including comfort using financial models and data to shape pricing, programs and proposalsAbility and willingness to travel 50 to 75 percent of the time, and to complete all required credentialing to access healthcare facilitiesYou. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation d cisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base compensation, this position is eligible for sales commission and incentives based on set targets. The commission earned will depend on the candidate's performance in the role.
