For All La Causa IncEmployees YOUR Birthday OFF $5,000.00 Hiring Incentive (forthis specific role) Your Role: As a Parent Peer Specialist, you willprovide personalized support to parents and caregivers navigatingservices for children with complex mental health, developmental, andbehavioral needs. Drawing from your own lived experience, you willempower families, advocate for their voices, and help them overcomebarriers to accessing care. What You'll Do: Provide PersonalizedSupport - Offer one-on-one support to parents and caregivers at home andin the community, helping them engage with services and achieve theirfamily's goals. Reengage Disconnected Families - Reach out to parentswho have disengaged or face barriers to participation. Understand theirperspectives and work to reconnect them with needed services. EmpowerParents and Caregivers - Help parents build skills in self-care, crisismanagement, and navigating systems of care. Provide mentorship andeducation to support youth and their families with ongoing needscentered around complex mental health, developmental, and behavioralneeds. Advocate for Families - Ensure parents' voices are heard inmeetings with youth child and family teams, schools, legal systems, andcommunity partners. Collaborate with Care Teams - Work closely with carecoordinators to ensure that the goals and needs of parents, as outlinedin the care plan, are met. Share Insight and Expertise - Offer valuableinput to the care team by sharing your understanding of the challengesparents face when raising children with complex needs. EnsureCompliance - Follow all legal, organizational, and contractual policies,including audits, licensing requirements, and program evaluations.Promote Communication and Cooperation - Build and maintain positiverelationships with families, care teams, and community stakeholders.Fulfill Mandated Reporting Duties - Comply with all mandated reportingrequirements related to child safety and welfare.
