Transform the everyday with us The Fire Alarm/Life Safety Service/Solutions Sales Manager is committed to promoting Siemens' strong market position for delivering smart building technology for Fire Alarm/Life Safety Solutions (new construction) and Service (end-user) to help our customers create outstanding experiences for their customers. Our Sales Managers lead a team responsible for transforming buildings to be digitally connected and controlled and with your strong leadership skills and passion for team building youu2019ll help find and hire top talent, develop employees, and promote long-term retention. As a Fire Alarm/Life Safety Service/Solutions Sales Manager you will: + Promote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areas + Act as a resource to sales employees regarding our products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including job turnover and implementation + Communicate goals, provide mentoring to develop skills, lead employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals; coach sellers to strategically assess customer needs and identify customer buying priorities + Review bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer objectives; assist employees in setting margins, identifying resources, and assessing future business and establish executive-level relationships with targeted contractors and customers + Network with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens' divisions to gain knowledge of offerings; share knowledge with your team and other employees; develop sales forecasts and provide input to sales targets + Assist the sales team in identifying market opportunities; develop strategies to improve impact to the company; participate in development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies + Articulate and drive our digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics; maintain trade contacts and participate in industry association functions + Travel overnight 10%-20% on average for training and business development within the Upstate New York territory. You will make an impact with these qualifications: _Basic Qualifications:_ + High School Diploma or state-recognized GED + 8+ years of sales experience and proven track record within the commercial Fire/Life Safety industry + Must be able to demonstrate: + Technical proficiency in commercial Fire Alarm/Fire Life Safety industry + Ability to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategies + Working knowledge and understanding of contracting business with tier of contractors + Organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills + Willing and available to travel overnight between 10%-20% + Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program + Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship _Preferred Qualifications:_ + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering + Management experience in the construction industry + Proficiency with Salesforce CRM + NICET Level II (or higher) Certification in Fire Ready to create your own journey?
