The VA Northeast Ohio Healthcare System is recruiting for a Full-Time Registered Nurse - Assistant Nurse Manager. The Assistant Nurse Manger will function in Long-Term Care (3B) within Patient Care Nursing Service. Responsibilities The Assistant Nurse Manager duties include but are not limited: Assist with CLC initiatives. Assist with staff education and training. Assist with the staff schedule and schedule changes. Assist with coordinating HR issues or concerns. Ensure staff uphold the CLC policy and standards of care. Demonstrate proficiency using the nursing process in providing care for patients with complex nursing care needs. Assist with survey readiness. Guide and direct others who provide care. Identify ethical issues in practice and take appropriate action. Delegate care in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner. Assist residents in identifying and securing appropriate services. Collaborate with 3B staff, 3B management, 3B NP, 3B case manager, 3B social worker and 3B MDS to improve veteran and staff outcomes. Make provisions for continuity of care with other health care providers.
