Senior Highway Engineer

Must have the following in order to apply:- Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program- A minimum of 16 years of experience in highway design- P.E., registered in the state of Florida or obtain within 6 months- Knowledge of FDOT standards, specifications, policies, and procedures- Experience designing roadway projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with FDOT policies and procedures; experience with other state and local agencies in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic a plus- Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, Geopak, InRoads, OpenRoads and AutoCAD- Ability to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetingsPreferred Qualifications:- 3D design experience- Experience with Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, P3, etc.)Required Screenings:Will be discussed with applicant; Drug Free Workplace.Job Description:- Serve as Engineer of Record on highway and roadway design projects.- Lead and perform senior-level technical design tasks, ensuring quality and compliance with applicable standards.- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff, fostering professional growth and development.- Assist with project management duties including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.- Support proposal development, including technical writing and scope definition.- Play a role in business development, helping to identify and pursue new project opportunities in the Jacksonville and broader Florida market.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across WRAs offices to deliver project outcomes.Work Environment:Will be discussed with applicant.Hiring Process:Apply via company order to apply to this position, please click
