The Impact Youu2019ll Make in this Role The person hired for the position of Aerospace and Defense Key Account Manager will build strong working relationships, seek opportunities and develop plans to grow sales at large and complex end using accounts, and elevate current relationships to higher executive levels. This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career. As a Key Account Manager for Space OEMu2019s, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: + Leads front end negotiation, implementation and execution of customer agreements + Calls on and develops C-suite-level relationships with existing and new customers + Identifies, influences, and leads mutual beneficial projects with key national accounts + Works with assigned accounts to follow through on agreed upon objectives + Determines competitive share opportunities and creates plans to win share + Develops and executes plans to deliver the strategy for the key account + Maps and identifies opportunities to strengthen the relationships between 3M and the account + Implements best practices across multiple locations Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution + Five (5) years of experience selling to large complex end user accounts in a private, public, government, or military environment + Current, valid Driveru2019s License. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: + Experience working with and through large national distribution channels + Masteru2019s degree in business or marketing from an accredited university + Seven (7) yearsu2019 experience with strategic key account management + Experience and demonstrated success in representing 3M products + Experience in space or aerospace markets + Experience in negotiating and managing agreements + Demonstrated strong collaboration and networking skill set + Knowledge of 3Mu2019s business areas, products, technologies and structure + Experience engaging with and influencing executive levels of organizations Work location: + Work location: This role is a remote role + Travel: May include up to 50% domestic + Relocation: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). _Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws._ _U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain
