Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures compliance with all EH&S current and developing country and location regulations, codes, and key constraints.Work with the location and corporate EH&S Team to develop and implement standardized programs to maintain full compliance with EH&S regulations and standards to meetexceed metrics.Measure plant performance benchmarking against best-in-class manufacturing to create and implement plans with a focus on continuous improvement.Develop, review, maintain and conduct EH&S program training that are required to enhance EH&S PerformanceProvides strategic direction to sustain a comprehensive system for hazard prevention and control.Implementmaintain behavior-based safety programRecommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materialsManage Safety & Health programs within OMS plant to include International Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations. Includes developing and providing guidance to all Plant managers and EHS personnel at all locations.Assure proper recordkeeping of results in all areas and develop effective and efficient reporting mechanisms that meet the regulations and inform the leadership.Work EnvironmentThis role is 100% on‑site at the OMS Greensboro facility and requires daily presence on the shop floor. The EHS Manager must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, conducting frequent floor walks, engaging directly with team members and supervisors, and monitoring active production processes to identify hazards and support safe work practices. Visibility and hands‑on involvement in plant operations are essential to success in this role.Skills and QualificationsBachelor of Science in Occupational Safety andor Environmental or related fieldMinimum 4 to 8 years of experience in EHS role(s) involving leading and coaching employeesAbility to interact with all levels of management.Excellent leadership abilities and knowledge of OSHA & EPA requirementsKnowledge and experience with Behavior-Based Safety techniquesPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 20 lbs. as needed.Ability to bend, stand, climb, twist, and stoop for extended periods.Ability to perform sedentary work, including sitting for extended periods.Ability to operate standard office equipment.Have good vision of 2030 with corrective lenses.Ability to maintain coordination of hand and finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects with precision.Travel as needed to accomplish desired results.
