You will use various access methods for theseinspections to gain visual access and take appropriate pictures toupdate the previous report and collect any concerning data. Thesestructures will include mostly bridges; but also tunnels, culverts,ancillary signs and any potential structure to ensure public safety. Youwill have a good balance between field and office work that will includecreating and checking the reports that we deliver to our clients sothese structures can remain in use. You may be involved in thescheduling of inspections, client interaction, load ratings andrehabilitation design as fits your skill set and interests. If youdon't want to be stuck at a desk everyday and want variety, this is theengineering role for you.What You'll Do:Inspections of assigned bridges and preparation of written reports onthe conditions of the structures.Performs and leads in-depth inspections using non-destructuve testingmethods, mechanized access equipment and/or climbing gear.Performs post-incident bridge inspections to determine severity ofdamage and recommendations appropriate actions with regard to bridgeclosures and detours.Coordinates with bridge owners and other agencies on inspectionschedules, traffic control, railroad access, navigational channels, etc.Lead teams and groups in Structural Assessment, which may includeproviding general instruction, assigning and reviewing work, coachingand training, providing guidance and instruction in the proper and mostefficient methods of accomplishing tasks, and providing input to thedirect supervisor on staffing decisions and performance management.What You'll Need:Ability and experience to lead the work of others, communicate andmaintain proper working relationships.Possess knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures.Experience with report procedures.Any experience with National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) as abridge inspection assistant and be Team Leader qualified with NHI.Must be able to perform inspections in the field with various means ofaccess.ADCI Diver certification or SPRAT level 1 or higher is a plus dependingon contracts you can be involved with [WhatBenefitsYoullEnjoy:]{contrast=
