Seasonal, part time.Seasonal, part-time, non-exempt positionsAvailability: Daytime, weekend, evening, and holiday availability preferred.Pay Rate: $16.47 per hourTo Apply:Please download employment application: completed application to: with the subject line:Seasonal Jobs GE.Or send Application by regular mail to: Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14214Attn: Seasonal Jobs GENo phone calls please.Basic Purpose and Responsibility:Under the supervision of the Guest Experience leadership team, the Guest Experience Clean Team Associate is responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the restrooms, Zoo grounds, office buildings, classrooms, and guest facing areas.Essential Functions:1.Maintains cleanliness of the property with a high level of detail and a focus on restrooms.2.Sanitizes high touch areas including but not limited to outer exhibits, windows, bathrooms, handrails, interactives, pletes daily cleaning checklists to ensure consistent sanitization.4.Maintains clean work area and reports unsafe work conditions immediately.5.Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to property and injury and will observe safe work procedures, regulations and standards.6.Projects a high level of guest service when interacting with guests, handling inquiries, and reports guest issues and concerns in a positive and expeditious manner.7.Answers inquiries of visitors, provides information regarding special events or activities, and informs management or assists in the resolution of guest concerns.8.Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems, takes action to solve problems quickly.9.Alerts the leadership team for help when problems arise.10.Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards and any injury, occupational illness, equipment or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.11.Possesses the ability to work independently.12.Performs other duties assigned by the leadership team.13.Primary accountability for specific functions and results. The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented or changed as necessary.Education / Experience / Special Skills:Education (Minimum Desired):Some High School - Individual must be of legal working age.Experience (Minimum Desired):Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial, janitorial, or maintenance.Special Skills:munication.2.Attention to detail.3.Positive, personable and outgoing itiative and time management.Other:1.Must support Buffalo Zoos Vision, Mission and Core Values.2.Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment background check.3.Must understand the requirements, essential functions and duties of the position.4.Must be able to operate a two-way radio after training.5.Must be willing to comply with departments Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures.6.Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.7.Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, holidays and requested overtime as necessary.8.Be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Job Perks:1.Accrued sick time - one (1) hour of sick time accrued for every 30 hours of work.2.Associates are eligible to receive up to two (2) free family passes to the Zoo annually.
