Schedule: PRN Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 9975 TAVISTOCK LAKES BLVD City: ORLANDO State: Florida Postal Code: 32827 Job Description: Schedule: PRN Location: Altamonte Outpatient Imaging Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. u2022 Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. u2022 Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam. u2022 Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging. u2022 Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions. u2022 Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. u2022 Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams. u2022 Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems. u2022 Performs high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient safety. u2022 Reviews patient history and clinical information to confirm exam appropriateness and identify potential contraindications (e.g., implanted devices, metal, claustrophobia, contrast allergies). u2022 Screens all patients, staff, and equipment for MRI safety compliance per facility policy and current safety standards, including completion of required screening documentation. u2022 Operates all imaging equipment safely and properly, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, adapting protocols for patients of all ages. u2022 Other duties as assigned.
