Senior Bridge Engineer

Must have the following in order to apply:- Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program- 16+ years of bridge design experience- P.E., registered in the state of Florida or obtain within 6 months- Experience designing bridge projects and preparing contract documents in accordance with FDOT policies and procedures- Experience designing concrete and/or steel bridge structures such as continuous post-tensioned concrete beams, curved steel I-girders or box girders, segmental concrete superstructures, post-tensioned concrete substructures, or bridges subject to vessel collision loads- Knowledge of AASHTO bridge design specifications- Experience with FDOT specifications, policies and procedures- Experience with a variety of bridge design software- Track record of establishing external and internal relationships- Experience managing and mentoring staff of all levels- Ability to travel to project sites, company offices and client meetingsPreferred Qualifications:- Master's degree or other advanced degree- Experience with other state and local DOT agencies in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic- Experience with Alternative Delivery projects (Design-Build, P3, etc.)Required Screenings:Will be discussed with applicant; Drug Free Workplace.Job Description:The company has an immediate opening for a Senior Bridge Engineer in our Tampa, FL office. This position will play a role in expanding the company's market presence in Florida and supporting the company's Bridge Group companywide.Candidates will have experience designing concrete and/or steel bridge projects and shall have a demonstrated ability to develop bridge engineering plans primarily for public sector clients including FDOT and other state departments of transportation, municipal clients, and other public entities.
