This position is a team member requiring a cooperative manner, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or designee. Work situations are basically routine yet require independent decision making in the execution of daily routine duties and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Internal contacts include patient care providers and laboratory staff. External contacts include physicians, patients, family members and visitors.RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent requiredPost high school vocational training in a related health care field preferred, such as Anesthesia Technician, CS Technician, NA, HCA, EMT, or Hospital Corpsman preferredHealth Care Provider level CPR certificationMinimum two (2) years of recent experience in patient care preferredPrevious experience working in an operating room environment preferredPrevious experience troubleshooting medical equipment preferredAbout Tacoma General HospitalMultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, in the heart of Tacoma, WA, is a 367-bed regional medical center delivering cutting-edge care.
