IT Field Technician u2013 Intermediate IT Contractors Buffalo, NY Join a highu2011impact technology rollout supporting missionu2011critical operations across multiple facilities. We are building a team of Entry to Intermediateu2011Level IT Contractors to support a largeu2011scale system implementation requiring extensive onu2011site technical validation, workflow testing, and device readiness checks. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: + Complete structured training on system validation procedures and checklists + Conduct onu2011site walkthroughs to assess readiness across various operational areas + Validate hardware and technical components, including: + Workstations + Printers + Scanners + Laptops + Carts/WOWs/COWs + Label printers + Peripheral devices + Perform handsu2011on testing and documentation for all assigned devices + Execute endu2011tou2011end workflow validation using detailed scripts and testing steps + Identify gaps, failures, or issues and escalate them to the appropriate technical teams + Communicate effectively with project managers, analysts, technical staff, and operational leadership + Maintain accurate documentation of findings, status updates, and remediation progress + Conduct followu2011up validation once fixes are applied + Travel locally between facilities to support testing rounds, meetings, and training sessions Required Skills & BackgroundEducation (Preferred) + Associateu2019s or Bacheloru2019s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology, Communications, Administration, or a related field + A+ or Google IT Certification Experience (including internships or entryu2011level roles) + Technical support or IT troubleshooting + Workflow testing, QA, or checklistu2011driven work + Customer service or fieldu2011based technical roles + Experience in fastu2011paced operational environments Technical Skills + CompTIA A+ or equivalent knowledge + Hardware support and troubleshooting + Windows 10 configuration and desktop support + SQL exposure is a plus + Troubleshooting, deployment, validation testing, and help desk skills Soft Skills + Strong attention to detail and accuracy + Excellent written and verbal communication + Ability to follow structured procedures and scripts + Selfu2011starter with strong problemu2011solving ability + Comfortable interacting with endu2011users in various environments Other Requirements + Reliable personal vehicle for local travel + Flexibility to visit multiple sites as needed + Ability to pass standard preu2011employment screenings Experience Level Entry to Intermediate Great for candidates building a career in IT field services, desktop support, projectu2011based technical work, QA/validation, or enterprise system deployments.
