TheRadiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist performs routinewill perform routine x-ray examinations in accordance with Concentrapolicies, practices, and procedures and applicable regulations underdirect supervision of the treating clinician, as well as supports inother needed areas of the facility. This role requires efficient andaccurate delivery of one-on-one patient care while thriving in afast-paced environment. The RT MSS ensures that every patient is treatedwith quality clinical care and receives an excellent patient experiencefrom welcoming, respectful, and skillful colleagues. ResponsibilitiesRadiologic Technologist Duties Prepare patients for radiologicprocedures. Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide verbaland/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning bodyparts to be radiographed. Explain procedures and observe patients toensure patient care, safety and comfort during the x-ray exam. Operateradiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnosticpurposes. Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to setexposure time and distance according to specification of examination.Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements andregulations to ensure patient care and safety. Use radiation safetymeasures and protection devices to ensure safety of patients and teammembers Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order. Reportequipment malfunctions to Center Operations Director Ensure allRadiology workflows are followed and all Radiology reports crosscorrectly to EMR Follows documentation procedures and completes requireddocumentation related to patient x-ray visit.
