Field Service Tech III

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY The Field Service Technician (III) will beexpected to travel throughout the USA. This role will work within in theteam to execute mechanical/electrical tasks in direct support ofcompleting field service projects on equipment utilized in PowerTransmission, Distribution, and Generation. This role will participatein the installation, maintenance and or repair of electrical equipmentfollowing defined procedures and industry standards. Market companiescapabilities for future opportunities. This role must independentlytroubleshoot and analyze technical requirements and have the ability tocompose Field Reports. To be fully proficient in 3 of the 5 technicalcompetencies: Transformer Assembly, Electrical Testing, Controls,LTC's, Oil Processing. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Receiveassignments and instructions from lead and manager - both verbal andwritten. Read, understand, and follow guidelines set forth Companyprocedures, and blueprints when performing assigned work. Select propermaterials and parts for assembly operations. Setup and layout materialsand tools for all assembly operations. Maintain the required clearancesand dimensions for the voltage classifications specified. Advancedknowledge/troubleshooting experience of electrical testing/theory.Advanced knowledge/troubleshooting experience of controls. Advancedknowledge/troubleshooting experience of oil processing. Understand andinterpret blueprints. Compose Field Reports (Daily Activity reports,etc.) and any other job site, customer specific reports tomanagement/customer in a timely manner. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESMechanically inclined and have basic knowledge of hand toolsUnderstanding of transformer/industry specifications to be able totroubleshoot/analyze data. Conform with and abide by all regulations,policies, work procedures, and instructions. Basic understanding ofoperating heavy machinery/equipment. Self-directed, positive attitude,willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions/directions.Advanced computer skills.
