POSITION: Bowling Center Lead AttendantSCHEDULE: Full Time/VariesLOCATION: Reno, NVSALARY: $16.00 Hr.TO APPLY:Direct Link -Page -note, employers may close jobs on the website at any time.SUMMARY:The grand sierra is looking for energetic and customer service minded individuals to join the GSR Bowling Center team as an attendant II. The attendant II guarantees guests are served in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner, ensuring total guest satisfaction whether in person or on the telephone. This role is highly visible and interacts with sponsors, vendors, clients, guests and GSR management. They also organize and maintain proper appearance of all bowling center areas, guarantee prompt, courteous and team minded service throughout the entire department and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards.MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Meet requirements of regular attendance to effectively complete job responsibilities in a timely manner.Consistently exhibits courteous, respectful, and appropriate communications and presents information in a concise and understandable format.Trusted and is seen as a truthful individual who is highly respectful of others.Has good math skills as consistent measurements, counting of inventory and cash handling are required.Contributes to a positive work environment, fosters collaboration, and provides a tangible contribution.Dedicated to meeting and/or exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external clients.Cooperate with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.Ability to verbally communicate in English and attend and participate in meetings to be informed of new rules, regulation, and procedures and to discuss other concerns.A passion for organization and cleanliness is a plus.REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills are necessary.OTHER QUALIFICATIONSMust be a minimum of 18 years of age. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.Attend and participate in meetings to be informed of new rules, regulations, and procedures and to discuss scheduling and/or other concerns of the Hotel and/or department. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Assist the GSR bowling center management in the hiring, discipline, and scheduling of the bowling department.Supervise all bowling attendants and bartenders.Attend GSR bowling center management meeting and give pdates on the bowling department. Prepare and provide proper and professional service to all guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner remembering to make constant contact with both internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service.Ensure pin spotters, scoring system, lane machine, lanes, bumpers, and all other related items are functioning and in proper working order.Train other leads and attendants in a positive, respectful manner and to encourage their growth in their career.Promote all bowling, drink and food specials and eventsas put and ring-up charges for guest's orders using the POS system. Create a check for each transaction, make and return any change as needed.Always maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment including removing empty glasses/bottles, cleaning ashtrays, empting garbage, sweeping/mopping floors, scrubbing/sanitizing equipment, etc.Maintain proper and adequate set-up of bowling center daily including, before, after and during shift. Refill chemicals, hand soap containers, etc.Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Answer questions and aid provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer, and providing positive and initiativ
