Collaborate with the device RNu2019s and Electrophysiology MDu2019s as well as other disciplines in order to provide quality and continuous care. Have a high level of decision making and autonomy. Experience with diagnosing various arrhythmias is a must. Shifts Available: Day Shift Status Available: Full time, 40 hours per week Required Qualifications: + Education: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or related field. + Experience: Minimum 3 years progressive cardiology experience. + To be proficient in the use of computers and web based sites in the investigation / trouble shooting of remote scanning of pacemakers and loop recorders. + To maintain a positive attitude towards health care team members and diverse patient populations. + To have the ability to manage a sometimes chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs with acute, chronic and complex disease processes. What the Electrophysiology Assistant will do: + Recognize abnormalities in recordings and be responsible for protocol driven follow thru. + Remote follow-ups on pacemakers and loop recorders. Review the remotes and report abnormalities to the appropriate person with documented follow-up. + Take triage calls when asked and respond appropriately to the given situation. Ability to critically think thru patient concerns, questions, or signs and symptoms and follow-thru with MDu2019s and nurses on the patients behalf. + Perform clinical duties as required to assist in research studies. (as directed by the Device RN and /or the Research Department.) + Provide patient education via lectures, handouts and handsu2013on experience for the training + of all remote downloads. Training individual patients and familyu2019s on the use of various in-home monitoring systems and be the office resource for calls / questions. + Coordinates with the TTM tech and vendors to keep all remote websites updated and assists with appropriate patient follow-up. + Performs other duties as assigned by the EP MDu2019s, Clinical Supervisor and /or Director of Operations Click Here (to learn more about the benefits, culture, and career development opportunities available to you at Trinity Health Michigan.
