About the Future of Land and Housing Program: New Americas Future of Land and Housing Program (FLH) works to solve land, housing, and property rights challenges both domestically and internationally. Through research, writing, and convening, we strive to bring technologists, policymakers, advocates, and researchers into the same room to help find solutions to vexing challenges in the housing and land rights space. In our domestic work, we examine the causes and impacts of housing loss, affordable homeownership and the intersections between housing security and climate change, with a particular focus on the impact of structural factors like racism, poverty, and environmental injustice. We take a data-driven approach to understand where housing instability is most acute, who is most impacted, and why; and we communicate these findings to policymakers and advocates, helping to develop solutions.
