About the RoleIn this role, you will enable adoption and sustainability of Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities across the enterprise, supporting continuity and compliance of software usage and licensing. You will help safeguard GapTech and the broader business from financial, operational, and reputational risks associated with software non-compliance by ensuring accurate visibility into software entitlements and consumption. You will minimize risk and business disruption by proactively managing software license utilization, guiding teams on compliant use of software products, and communicating remediation paths when exceptions arise.What Youll DoLeverage SAM tools and data sources (e.g., Flexera, SaaS management platforms, vendorportals) to analyze entitlement vs. consumption across both packaged and SaaS software,ensuring licensing compliance and cost optimization.Collaborate with software product owners to define, implement, and continuouslyimprove point-of-installation validation processes that enforce compliance beforedeployment.Proactively monitor and manage installations of packaged software in partnership withIT Operations and Product teams to avoid over-consumption and mitigate audit tegrate SaaS subscription tracking and governance to prevent over-assignment orunderutilization of licenses, reducing the likelihood of true-up or unplanned renewal costs.Partner closely with the SAM Senior Manager to evaluate and prioritize complianceand risk exposure using a defined risk-versus-impact framework.Ensure contract, entitlement, and procurement data in SAM systems are accurate,complete, and current to support trustworthy compliance reporting and vendornegotiations.Coordinate and support software license audits and reviews, providing accurate data,maintaining documentation of entitlements, and managing audit response processes.Collaborate cross-functionally with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Product teams toestablish and enforce license compliance controls and to inform future sourcing decisions.Identify optimization opportunities through research, data analysis, and trendmonitoring, driving continuous improvement in SAM processes and tool utilization.Deliver clear communication and reporting on compliance posture, trends, and risks toleadership, promoting transparency and accountability across the software lifecycle.Ensure quality of compliance services and guidance, balancing risk mitigation,operational continuity, and cost-effectiveness in meeting business needs.
