Property Accountant

Description We are looking for a skilled Property Accountant to join our team in Las Colinas, Texas. In this role, you will collaborate with the Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting and management of property financials. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a solid background in property accounting. Responsibilities: u2022 Perform bank reconciliations for assigned properties u2022 Analyze general ledger entries and prepare journal entries for monthly property financial closings. u2022 Reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports to support business operations. u2022 Prepare annual CAM reconciliations and assist asset management teams during reforecast and budgeting processes. u2022 Review and approve invoices ensuring timely posting and payment processing. u2022 Maintain schedules for prepaids, insurance, and property taxes to ensure proper tracking. u2022 Assist with annual audit and tax preparation to ensure compliance with regulations. u2022 Support fixed asset management, including monthly depreciation calculations. u2022 Participate in special projects related to quarterly close, budgeting, audits, and investor reporting requirements. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting u2022 At least 2 years of experience in property accounting, preferably with commercial assets such as office, retail, or industrial properties. u2022 Proficiency in Yardi software u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe applications. u2022 Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively. u2022 Strong problem-solving skills and independent judgment. u2022 Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.
