This role focuses on learning important business processes from supporting payment execution and maintaining accurate financial records to tracking insurance and legal claims, all while developing strong organization and professional skills.In this position, you'll work with experienced team members and external partners, gaining hands-on experience to our business operations and building confidence through structures repeatable processes. The role is ideal for someone eager to learn and interested in improving processes over time. With strong performance, this position offers meaningful visibility skill development, and a solid foundation for career growth withing accounting, treasury, or broader corporate roles.Key Responsibilities:Accounting & AP SupportAssist with weekly invoice verification and AP payment processingMaintain accurate accounting records and documentation (JDE, OnBase)Manage vendor setup and compliance, including W9s, insurance, and contactsInsurance & Legal Claims CoordinationServe as administrator for insurance and legal claimsCoordinate with internal teams, carriers, Third Party Administrators, and our insurance brokerTrack claims across all coverage lines and support policy renewalsManage reporting, reconciliations, deductible/retention tracking, and COIsMonitor company-widelegal matters and provide quarterly claim updates to leadershipFinancial Reporting & AnalysisSupport month-end close, account reconciliations, and claim expense trackingPrepare annual Personal Property Tax filingsAssist in improving AP, vendor compliance, and claims processesContribute to financial reporting, cash management, and tax compliance activitiesGain exposure to corporate finance operations and support various reporting, cash management, and tax activitiesRequired Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field0-4 years of accounting or financial operations experience; internship experienceProficiency in Excel; familiarity with JDE or similar ERP preferredExcellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to interact cross functionallyStrong analytical mindset with focus on process improvementDesire to grow into leadership rolesPremier Benefits to Support YOU:We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical, dental and visionLife, AD&D, and critical illness insuranceWellness rewards401(k) savings planProfit SharingPaid time off increasing with tenureTuition reimbursementLong and short disability and Parental leaveEmployee discount program on the purchase of a Drees HomeEmployee Assistance Program and much more!Equal Opportunity Employer / Drug Free WorkplaceTo learn more about Drees Homes visit our website www.dreeshomes.com
