Job Description

SharePoint Developer(C80-2024-21863):Bowhead seeks a SharePoint Developer to execute mission-critical functions, including task management, audit support, data calls, records management, workforce collaboration, and executive reporting. SEA 01 requires a SharePoint Developer who will also provide direct support to the Activity Command Information Officer (ACIO). This role integrates enterprise collaboration platform delivery with command-level IT governance, compliance oversight, cybersecurity alignment, and information management initiatives.Gather user requirements and provide recommendations for SharePoint Online design, configuration, and implementationDevelop and maintain SharePoint and Microsoft Teams workspace templates, including provisioning, permissions, lifecycle management, and external sharing controlsImplement and enforce SPO site standards aligned with NAVSEA and DON collaboration and records management policiesSupport hub site architecture and cross-directorate information architectureConfigure lists, libraries, metadata, and data structures to support reporting, audit readiness, and data traceabilityMonitor platform usage, storage, and performance to ensure reliability and availabilityIntegrate SharePoint with Microsoft Power Platform tools for reporting and visualizationProvide Tier 2/3 support for SharePoint and M365 collaboration servicesDevelop user guides, SOPs, training materials, and knowledge resourcesTroubleshoot workflow, permissions, and data structure issuesSupport governance controls, including provisioning standards, naming conventions, and access reviewsCoordinate with enterprise platform owners regarding configuration or policy updatesACIO Support & IT OperationsProvide Tier 1 IT support, including account provisioning, password resets, software installation, and troubleshootingAdminister distribution groups, shared mailboxes, and permissions within authorized systemsSupport workforce onboarding and offboarding activitiesMaintain IT asset accountability and lifecycle trackingProvide operational support for conference room and office technology (AV systems, printers, shared devices)Support leadership mobile device configuration and troubleshootingAssist with records management documentation, audit responses, and IT governance materialsSupport preparation of artifacts for inspections, assessments, and cybersecurity reviewsCommunicate enterprise IT updates, standards, and implementation guidance to stakeholdersActive DoD Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain oneBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field2-6 years of experience supporting SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, or collaboration platformsWorking knowledge of DoD or Federal IT governance and cybersecurity compliance processesExperience supporting CIO/ACIO-level governance or reporting functionsKnowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptProficiency with SharePoint administration tools and PowerShell scriptingFamiliarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 applicationsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting NAVSEA, Navy, or Warfare Center organizationsMaster’s degree in a technology-related fieldExperience working within an IT service management/ticketing systemCompTIA Security+ (or equivalent baseline certification)Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power Platform, Microsoft 365, SharePoint-related credentials)ITIL Foundation certificationRequired CompetenciesAbility to work independently while coordinating across technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentSound troubleshooting and problem-escalation judgmentProfessionalism and discretion when supporting leadership and front-office staffCommitment to customer service and continuous learningWork EnvironmentFull-time, on-site position located at Washington Navy Yard, DC Metro AreaMay require coordination with enterprise service providers and external stakeholdersPosition supports mission-critical systems in a regulated federal IT environmentTargeted Salalry range will be $90,0000-$110,000 annually based on qualifications and experience. Physical Demands:Must be able to lift to 25 poundsMust be able to sit, stand and or bend for prolonged amounts of timeSECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Mustbe able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
