The USU Athletics Academic Coordinator (Student Success Advisor) will support the academic needs of student-athletes in assigned sports and assist in the day-to-day operation of Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS). Sports will be assigned upon hiring.The Academic Coordinator assists student-athletes with academic progress in areas including academic study skills and learning strategies; educates student-athletes on NCAA, conference, and institutional eligibility requirements; and, in conjunction with campus advisors, guides student-athletes on course and major selection and career planning. The Academic Coordinator meets with student-athletes on a regular basis to monitor academic progress and review eligibility status. Additionally, the Academic Coordinator will provide detailed reports and updates to coaches, compile semester grade/eligibility reports, and assist with the preparation of each assigned team’s Academic Progress Rate (APR) and Graduation Success Rate (GSR).
