The IT Planning and Management Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing IT strategies, plans, and operations to support organizational objectives. This role serves as a key liaison between local operations, corporate headquarters, and external partners, ensuring alignment of IT initiatives, resource planning, budgeting, and compliance. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and bilingual communication skills to effectively support both local and global stakeholders. IT Strategic Planning and GovernanceDevelop and maintain short-term and long-term IT plans aligned with business strategy and corporate IT directionSupport IT governance processes, including policy development, standards compliance, and documentationEvaluate existing IT systems and processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectivenessIT Project Planning and ManagementPlan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budgetDevelop project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategiesMonitor project progress, identify issues, and escalate risks as necessaryCoordinate cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful project deliveryBudgeting and Resource ManagementPrepare and manage IT budgets, including annual planning, forecasting, and cost trackingMonitor IT expenditures and ensure cost-effective use of resourcesSupport contract management and vendor performance evaluationOperational Coordination and ComplianceEnsure IT operations comply with internal policies, corporate standards, and applicable regulationsSupport audits and internal reviews related to IT systems and processesCoordinate with HQ IT teams to align local implementation with global standardsCommunication and ReportingAct as a primary communication bridge between IT, business departments, and managementPrepare and present IT plans, project status reports, KPIs, and performance metrics to leadershipSupport executive decision-making through data analysis and reportingKorean Bilingual Support and CoordinationProvide bilingual (Korean-English) communication support for IT-related meetings, documentation, and reporting with HQ and Korean stakeholdersTranslate and interpret IT policies, procedures, technical documents, and project materials between Korean and English as requiredFacilitate effective collaboration between Korean-speaking management, global IT teams, and local staff to ensure accurate understanding and execution of IT initiativesContinuous Improvement and Risk ManagementIdentify IT-related risks and support the development of mitigation and contingency plansStay current with emerging IT trends, technologies, and best practicesProactively recommend improvements to IT planning, service delivery, and operational processesOthersPrompt, regular, predictable attendancePhysical presence at work during all scheduled work hoursOvertime and weekend work as requiredAll other job duties as assignedSupervisory Responsibilities: No Required Education:High School Diploma or GED Preferred Education & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Management, Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or related disciplineExperience in IT planning, IT governance, or project management within a manufacturing or automotive environmentExperience working with global or Korean headquarters-driven IT organizationsPrior experience supporting bilingual (Korean-English) business or IT operationsRelevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, or equivalent) preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong knowledge of IT planning, IT operations management, and project coordination within an enterprise environmentSolid understanding of IT governance, budgeting, forecasting, and resource management principlesAbility to plan, track, and manage multiple IT initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business prioritiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess risks and recommend effective solutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical and non-technical informationFluent bilingual proficiency in Korean and English, including the ability to translate, interpret, and communicate IT-related information accurately between both languagesAbility to serve as a communication bridge between Korean-speaking headquarters and managementStrong documentation and reporting skills, including preparation of IT plans, project status reports, and management summariesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretionCertificates, Licenses, and Registrations: None required Working Hours and Conditions:Standard working hours: 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.Combination of office work and on-site operational support as requiredOccasional after-hours or weekend support may be required based on project or operational needs
