The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients.Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG), a Quanta Services, Inc. company (NYSE: PWR) is looking for a Mechanical Construction Coordinator to oversee and manage all aspects of Mechanical construction projects. In this role, you will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that mechanical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Monitor day-to-day on-site mechanical subcontractors operations and field labor force including assistants, foremen, subcontractors, and other construction related personnelAssist Construction Manager in the supervision and responsibility of the total construction effort in accordance with design, budget, quality, and schedule)Assist with providing technical assistance (interpretation of drawings, recommendation of construction methods and equipment, etc.) as required to subcontractors.Inspection of Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with ContractReview and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with Project/Construction ManagerMaintain good relationships with internal and external clients, including representatives of Owner and Architect/EngineerDevelop and maintain site coordination plan, in coordination with Construction ManagerConduct quality inspectionsCoordinate site testing and inspection effortsMonitor costs, including labor time and materialCommunicate and enforce the Project Health and Safety ProgramDemonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring othersMonitor schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules, and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled datesPrepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports to document weather and field conditions, trade and subcontractor manpower, progress and conditions impacting the project, as well as Accident Reports, Quality Reports, etc.Participate in subcontractor meetingsAttend and participate in project meetingsProviding training and education to support field superintendents and engineersHelp set a positive tone for the project.Required Experience and EducationBroad knowledge of construction industry including equipment, labor, means and methods, codes, and standards8 -10 plus years of related mechanical construction experience in industrial or commercial construction projectsUtility and Refineries Experience a Plus30 Hour OSHA CertificationA degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management a plusBroad understanding of mechanical construction and site logistics, including utilityKnowledge and understanding Labor RegulationsStrong and effective communication and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong leadership and management skillsFunction effectively within a team unitBroad understanding of construction documents and drawingsComputer proficient with ability to adapt to new innovations and processesTechnically proficientMotivates staff and trade contractors to perform at the highest level possibleTravel RequirementsTravel: YesPercent of Time: Up to 100%Competitive Compensation401 (k) Retirement PlanHoliday PayPaid Time Off (PTO)Comprehensive Health CoveragePet InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional DevelopmentTuition AssistancesEmployee Discount ProgramThe anticipated compensation for this position is USD $140,000.00/Yr. - USD $180,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
