Expert Systems Engineers assist in leading engineering teams in taking a multi-discipline approach to requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across CAP/SAP architectures, the NSG/ASG (as applicable) and Federal Agencies to ensure timely and accurate GEOINT.Duties include:Assists the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across CAP/SAP architectures, the NSG/ASG (as applicable) and Federal AgenciesAssists with the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitationsAssists Government Office/Division Chiefs in assessing, documenting, and tracking new engineering requirements and facilitating TEMs used to inform Government and Contractor teams about systems engineering and integration activitiesAdvises the Government on proposed changes to the solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technologyAssists the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutionsSupports the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programsAssists the Government in performing systems integration activitiesAssists in leading AoA, CoA, Trade Studies and Engineering AssessmentsAssists the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface designProvides expert advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developmentsOperates at the level of integrating multiple Major Systems Acquisition across organizational, agency, department, and governmental/national boundariesOversees and coordinates the work of Senior and Mid-level contractor Systems EngineersWorks closely with both the SPG development contractor and security teams in a systems integration SME and support role to achieve the SPG mission as a cohesive teamExplains technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiencesEstablishes effective customer relationships with senior level government personnel with the ability to work independently and within a team environmentPeraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and participation in an attractive bonus plan.REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program18+ years of experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud Environments12+ years of experience with systems engineering lifecycle10+ years of experience supporting the assessment, evaluation, and development of new or emerging technologies into operations or the architectural impacts and a recommendation path forward8+ years of experience in systems engineering for GEOINT systems, services and products5+ years of experience in project management or technical team leadershipTS/SCI clearance adjudication or ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraphPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
