We’re looking for aQuality Assurance Technician that exhibits a strong work ethic, dependability and believes in our company values.Why MEC?Competitive WagesState of the art equipment/machines401K MatchOn Site Health Center with Benefits starting after only 30 daysWhat you will be doing as a QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN:Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or standards in order to inspect or test product throughout the manufacturing processes to determine if it is fit for conformance or customer requirements. This can include dimensional, attribute, performance, mechanical or chemical characteristics.Records test data, applying statistical process control procedures where applicable.Document reports to validate or identify details for deviations from existing standards, where and when required.Support calibration of tools and gages as required.Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics. Operates various types of measurement equipment required to evaluate product conformance (i.e. various coordinate measuring machines, profilometer, hardness tester, optical comparators, various gages (calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.) Leads and/or supports gage R&R or related measurement system analysis activities as required.Coordinate activities related to Material Review Board (MRB) or supports as directed. Leads containment activities and/or supports sorting activities as requested for external or internal sorts as directed by the quality department leadership.Other duties as assignedLeads or supports audits as requested by quality department. This includes but is not limited to various ISO audits as well as product audits at various stages of the manufacturing process.What it takes to be a QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN with MEC:Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred but not requiredfive years experience in manufacturing or engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to train, communicate, and work with others.Ability to determine product status based on test & inspectionAbility to apply mathematical concepts to the degree necessary.Blueprint reading as applicable to manufacturing of metals, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Statistical Process Control (SPC) Measurement Techniques (Metrology) Computer Application basics (Windows, Spreadsheets, etc.) Coordinate Measuring Machine applications (CMM-Romer)Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
