This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to maintenance planning and execution.Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive maintenance program to ensure the proper functioning and longevity of all machinery and equipment in the plastics manufacturing facility2. Managing a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective maintenance operations3. Conducting regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues or areas for improvement4. Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks, equipment repairs, and upgrades to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency5. Coordinating with production teams to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes6. Monitoring equipment performance, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce breakdowns7. Collaborating with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or equipment installations when necessary8. Managing the maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of spare parts and supplies9. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team and across the manufacturing facility10. Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory management11. Other essential duties as assignedCandidate Requirements:1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred2. Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance management, preferably in a plastics manufacturing or similar industrial environment3. Strong technical knowledge of plastics manufacturing machinery and equipment, including extruders, injection molding machines, conveyors, and related systems4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance techniciansProficient in maintenance planning and scheduling, with the ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively6. Knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies and reliability-centered maintenance principles7. Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial manufacturing setting8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders10.
