Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Oriskany, New York. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for a candidate with strong accounting skills who thrives in managing multiple entities and ensuring financial accuracy. The role requires proficiency in reconciliation processes, general ledger management, and handling both accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the financial operations of three small companies, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting. u2022 Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial balances and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Manage accounts payable processes, including timely invoice payments and vendor communications. u2022 Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as invoicing and following up on overdue accounts. u2022 Maintain the general ledger by recording journal entries and ensuring financial data integrity. u2022 Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing financial statements and reports. u2022 Utilize accounting software like NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for day-to-day operations. u2022 Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. u2022 Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. u2022 Associateu2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes. u2022 Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing general ledger transactions. u2022 Experience with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP. u2022 Ability to complete month-end close processes and prepare financial reports. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
