Project Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Saratoga, California. This role is critical in overseeing accounting functions throughout the lifecycle of multiple projects while ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Please apply today Responsibilities: u2022 Manage all accounting aspects for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance. u2022 Prepare and submit detailed accounts receivable billing packets with supporting documentation. u2022 Review subcontractor invoices and ensure alignment with project budgets and schedules. u2022 Monitor job cost expenses to confirm they match committed costs. u2022 Input and reconcile draws, invoices, and direct costs using Procore. u2022 Ensure lien releases are obtained and maintained before and after payments. u2022 Perform cost reconciliations and finalize project billing prior to closure. u2022 Conduct accounts payable tasks and oversee timely collection of receivables. u2022 Assist project teams and field staff with accounting-related inquiries. u2022 Participate in monthly billing meetings to review project financials. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 3 years of construction accounting experience. u2022 Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, including cost analysis. u2022 Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including QuickBooks, Excel, and Word; experience with Procore is highly preferred. u2022 Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. u2022 Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. u2022 Knowledge of construction accounting, including percentage of completion and project accounting. u2022 Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong teamwork and leadership abilities. u2022 Ability to analyze contracts and assess financial implications related to profitability and risk.
