Job Summary and Qualifications This position provides operational support to the director and leadership to ICU personnel providing patient services with a focus on clinical competency and rendering of quality care. Coordinates and assists in the successful care of the patient by developing long term and short term goals, and implementing plans. Provide education to patients, family and staff as needed. Facilitates relationships with physicians. Essential Duties: + Assists the director and manager in the clinical quality of critical care services being performed for trauma, stroke and/or CV service lines. + Enforces department policies, procedures, protocols, regulations, and national standards of care, thus ensuring execution of quality care at the bedside. + Coordinates departmental PI program, outcomes management projects and other hospital initiatives as directed. + Accountable for all phases of staff development including recruitment, orientation, retention, supervision, competency, and professional growth. + Assists with planning yearly education programs and provides ongoing educational activities and opportunities for staff members to ensure expertise in low volume, high risk care delivery in partnership with shared education services. + Assists with and provides input to the director for employee performance management plans. + Have working clinical knowledge of cardiogenic shock as well as MCS platforms offered in the facility. Expectation is to facilitate identification of effected patients as well as the quality of care for those patients receiving those modalities. Position Requirements: + 2 year Associate Degree required; 4 year Bachelor or Masteru2019s Degree preferred + Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. + BLS (AHA) + ACLS & NIH within 90 days of hire/transfer + Specialty certification preferred + 1-3 years of CVICU/Critical Care and leadership experience required; 3-5 years of CVICU/Critical Care and leadership experience preferred Benefits HCA Florida Ocala Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
