Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: u2022 Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and function in a stressful, fast-changing environment. u2022 Must possess advanced knowledge in the specialty of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Nursing. u2022 Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & Power Point preferred. u2022 Skilled in providing age-appropriate education. u2022 Professional and leadership skills, ability to interact appropriately with patients, families, treatment team, and physicians regarding care management interventions and illness adjustment issues. u2022 Advanced knowledge of adult orthopedic treatment, care, and prevention. u2022 Ability to communicate with patients, family, and staff in a professional, friendly manner. u2022 Proven working relationship with surgeons. u2022 Strong detail-orientation and follow-up capacity. u2022 Excellent organizational skills. u2022 Ability to multi-task. u2022 Aptitude for critical thinking, decision-making, and managing multiple competing priorities. u2022 Demonstrated success in relationship building. u2022 Ability to keep the team focused on goals/timelines. u2022 Strong data analysis skills, requiring interpretation of clinical results to develop program improvement projects. u2022 Self-directed, organized. u2022 Ability to lead meetings and create a culture of transparency, teamwork, quality, and accountability. u2022 Collaborative, team approach. u2022 Project management preferred. u2022 Data collection and analysis preferred. u2022 Ability to create a clear vision for a successful future state of the program. u2022 Ability to collaborate with peers and make changes through influence versus title. u2022 Customer service focused. u2022 Evidence-based practice implementation and innovation.
