Plant Controller

Description We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our team in Carey, Ohio. This role requires a strong financial leader with extensive experience in manufacturing finance and accounting processes. As a key member of the plant leadership team, you will oversee financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and provide strategic insights to support organizational goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting by implementing robust internal controls and conducting regular audits. u2022 Manage daily financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and inventory management. u2022 Oversee cost accounting processes, including material costing, labor analysis, and variance reporting. u2022 Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements and performance reports for site and corporate leadership. u2022 Collaborate with plant leadership to create budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. u2022 Provide strategic financial analysis to support operational improvements and capital investment decisions. u2022 Monitor inventory accuracy and valuation while ensuring the functionality of standard cost systems. u2022 Build and maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and other financial institutions. u2022 Partner with HR and operational teams to analyze labor costs and support benefit planning. u2022 Lead and develop the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 7u201310 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3u20135 years in a manufacturing environment. u2022 Expertise in cost accounting, inventory management systems, and operational finance; automotive industry experience is highly preferred. u2022 Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and regulatory requirements. u2022 Strong presentation skills, capable of clearly communicating financial insights to leadership and stakeholders. u2022 Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. u2022 High level of integrity in managing confidential information. u2022 Proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems such as Plex and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail.
