Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Farmington, Pennsylvania. This role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing various accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Title: Position summary: Staff Accountant Responsibilities/Description: Balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, month end support, journal entries, revenue reporting Onsite /Shift: 100% onsite Pay: $30 an hour Contract to possible contract to hire Responsibilities: u2022 Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards. u2022 Manage clearing accounts and bank tax processes effectively. u2022 Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision. u2022 Generate daily and revenue reports to support business operations. u2022 Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks. u2022 Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth financial workflows. u2022 Handle corporate and sales tax-related tasks as needed. u2022 Support month-end and year-end closing processes. u2022 Ensure adherence to accounting regulations and company policies. u2022 Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial procedures. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in corporate tax and sales tax processes. u2022 Strong knowledge of journal entries and general ledger maintenance. u2022 Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software; NetSuite experience is a plus. u2022 Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
