Flatbed Truck Driver

Job Title: Flatbed Driver Job Description This position is responsible for the shipping, receiving, proper handling of materials, equipment, and compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards/procedures. Responsibilities + Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move shipments from dock platforms to storage or work areas. + Use computers to prepare packing lists, BOLs, and other required documentation for domestic and international shipping. + Inspect and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged or non-conforming items, record shortages, and coordinate with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. + Place materials in correct inventory locations. + Load and unload trucks. + Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipment. + Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, invoices, or packing slips to ensure all items are received and undamaged, and enter them into QuickBooks. + Design, fabricate, and assemble wooden crates or cardboard containers to ensure product integrity during shipment. + Maintain a safe work area and follow safety protocols. + Maintain forklifts, stock items, and company tools. + Make local deliveries and pick up parts using a flatbed truck and pickup truck. Essential Skills + 1-3 years of shipping/receiving experience. + Ability to drive a flatbed truck with manual transmission. + Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, and WMS. + Strong experience preparing packing lists and working with BOLs, bills of lading, shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of QuickBooks. + Experience with forklifts (FLO). Why Work Here? Work Environment Work the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm in a manufacturing and custom-build production environment. The facility is relatively clean and organized, ensuring a comfortable workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hatfield, PA.
