Job Title: Janitor - 1st Shift Job Description Join a team dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and order within hospital environments. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for cleaning and servicing hospital rooms and facilities, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. Responsibilities + Provide quality customer service with attention to detail. + Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors. + Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies. + Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery. + Dust and polish furniture and fittings. + Clean metal fixtures and fittings. + Empty and clean trash containers, disposing of trash in a sanitary manner. + Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers. + Wipe down glass surfaces. + Make beds and change linens as required. + Realign furniture and amenities according to the prescribed layout. + Respond to guest queries and requests promptly. + Address housekeeping issues such as spills and broken glasses. + Contribute to team efforts and maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Environmental service experience. + Expertise in sanitizing and cleaning. + Proficiency in vacuuming and mopping. + Strong janitorial and housekeeping skills. + Customer service oriented. Work Environment Work within a hospital setting during the 1st shift, from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends. This role is integral to maintaining a clean and orderly environment, utilizing various cleaning technologies and equipment to ensure high standards of sanitation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lehighton, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.75 - $16.75/hr.
