As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Driver in Polkton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This role is a driving post requiring a valid driveru2019s license under AU Driver Policy requirements, and you will carry out assigned armed duties while delivering professional customer service and teamwork grounded in integrity. What You'll Do: + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. + Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, observing for unusual activity and/or policy violations that may help to deter incidents. + Control access at entry points by verifying identification, screening authorized items, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals according to post orders. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, notifying appropriate personnel, and coordinating response activities. + Complete timely incident reports, shift logs, and required documentation, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or onsite contacts. Minimum Requirements: + Be at least 21 years of age. + A valid driveru2019s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. + A valid firearms permit is preferred. + An armed guard card and/or license is preferred. + Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Participate in industry-specific security training programs. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driveru2019s license will be required for driving positions only.
