Iot Software Engineer

Job Title: IoT Software Engineer Job Description We are seeking a IoT Embedded Systems Engineer to own and evolve a connected vehicle and fleet platform. This position is at the intersection of embedded systems, vehicle networks, AWS IoT, and fleet portals. You will work on systems that allow a vehicle to operate off-grid, collect operational data, and ensure its reliable transmission from the vehicle to the HMI, cloud (AWS), and fleet portal. Responsibilities + Manage personal milestones and make architectural decisions independently. + Maintain C++ based embedded applications running on vehicle-mounted hardware. + Work with vehicle networks and protocols including CAN, RV C, and MQTT. + Integrate embedded systems with an existing HMI. + Ensure reliable data capture and communication across long-running vehicle operation scenarios. + Define and manage technical milestones. + Collaborate with hardware, systems, and product stakeholders. + Troubleshoot issues spanning embedded devices, cloud services, and fleet applications. + Design and implement device-to-cloud data pipelines using AWS. + Build and extend fleet portal functionality. + Develop services and applications that transform raw device data into actionable fleet insights. + Support backend services and fleet portal applications using Python and JavaScript. + Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the fleet management system. Essential Skills + Experience with AWS, IoT, and software development. + 3+ years of working experience in developing software for HMI. + 3+ years of experience with IoT, AWS, and Python. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience developing for fleet portals or fleet management. Work Environment The position offers an entrepreneurial, start-up environment with ample room for growth. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Elkhorn, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $150000.00/yr. start-up environment, full health benefits, flexibility to work remotely 3-4 days per week Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Elkhorn,WI.
