The Intern will also assist with tax research and with monthly-end, quarter-end and year-end closings. The intern will gain experience throughout the Tax team through assigned project work and on the job training. This internship is for Summer 2026 6/1/2026 - 8/28/2026 based in Denver, CO.Essential FunctionsCompilation of information and data for various tax returns, including income, property, excise, fuel and sales/use pilation of information for the financial statement requirements of the tax departmentMaintain the tax departments calendarAssist with federal and state audit information requestsAssist with monthly journal entry and tax account reconciliation processesPreparation of sales and use tax, excise tax and fuel tax return workpapersProcessing of tax returns and tax paymentsReconciliation of tax notices with existing recordsTax research projects as requiredPerform other tax compliance and administrative duties as assigned by managementQualificationsUndergraduate sophomore-level students or above working towards a Bachelors Degree in Accounting (concentration in Tax a plus) ORGraduate students working towards a Masters Degree in Taxation or Business Administration (concentration in Accounting of Finance)Prior work experience, including a prior co-op internship in accounting or tax is preferred, but not mandatoryExperience in Microsoft Excel and WordKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesDetail-oriented and possess good organizational skillsStrong communication skillsDemonstrates competency in problem-solving skillsDemonstrates interest in learning taxDemonstrates values of self-motivation, integrity, accountability, teamwork and innovationEquipment OperatedStandard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printerWork EnvironmentTypical office environment, adequately heated and cooledPhysical EffortGenerally, not required.Pay RateClass YearInterns($ per hour)Freshman19.50Sophomore20.50Junior21.50Senior22.25Graduate Program24.25Please note: this posting has a closing date of on or before 4/9/2026, midnight MT.Workplace PoliciesAt Frontier Airlines, we wholeheartedly support and have a strong commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action.
