General Labor- 1st Shift

Job Title: General Labor - 1st Shift Job Description We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as General Laborers on the 1st shift. This position involves performing various tasks that may be repetitive, but you will be moving around and engaging in different activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our display windows are cleaned and prepared for shipment to customers. Responsibilities + Clean display windows and prepare them for shipment using Windex and other cleaning supplies. + Use screw guns and cordless drills for bolting and assembly of various window units for display. + Perform minor painting and touch-ups to displays before shipment. + Assist with shipping and receiving as needed. + Operate hand tools and power tools such as cordless drills, saws, and nail guns. + Use tape measures for accurate measurements. + Maintain a strong attention to detail to ensure product quality. Essential Skills + Strong attention to detail and a quality-driven mindset. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with team lifts for heavier items. + Knowledge of various tools such as cordless drills, saws, screwdrivers, nail guns, and wrenches. + Comfortable working in a shop environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 6+ months of shop experience, preferably in a wood-type shop, is a plus. + Experience from home hobbies is acceptable. + Willingness to fulfill a 3-6 month contract. Work Environment The work environment is an open, well-organized job shop where candidates will work independently or in teams of 7-8, depending on the task. The dress code includes t-shirts, jeans, and work boots or leather boots. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided on the first day. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 6am to 2:30pm, with the potential for extended hours until 4:30pm and overtime as required. There is also a 2nd shift available from 2:30pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Afton, MN.
