Job Description

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department, and monitor all established quality assurance standards. RESPONSIBILITIES u00b7 Promote trust and respect among associates. u00b7 Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store. u00b7 Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical products and be able to competently discuss these products with customers and prescribers. u00b7 Provide drug counseling to customers. u00b7 Assist with over the counter medications recommendations. u00b7 Be able to accurately input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system. u00b7 Dispense the correct medication. u00b7 Contact prescribersu2019 offices for authorization. u00b7 Bag filled prescriptions and deliver to customer accurately. u00b7 Process third party insurance information for customers. u00b7 Contact insurance companies on the behalf of the customers, if necessary u00b7 Facilitate charge purchases for customers. u00b7 Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions accurately for fill/refill. u00b7 Clean the department. u00b7 Provide immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist u00b7 Compare and check incoming orders. u00b7 Stock incoming orders properly. u00b7 Return unused medication stock bottles to stock. u00b7 Notify management of customer or employee accidents. u00b7 Notify pharmacist on duty if they are made aware of a prescription incident. u00b7 Report all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud. u00b7 Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy Hold a current state issued Pharmacy Intern license $28.25 - $31.50 per hour
