Accounting Specialist

Description Robert Half is partnering with one of our local clients out of Ocean County, New Jersey. This role will primarily focus on Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general bookkeeping tasks. Great opportunity to join a growing team with flexible hours and friendly work environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage accounts payable processes, including verifying invoices and ensuring timely payments. u2022 Oversee accounts receivable operations. u2022 Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Handle billing activities, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. u2022 Maintain general bookkeeping tasks. u2022 Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as required. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. u2022 Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency. u2022 Provide support during audits and assist with documentation requirements. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Knowledge of billing procedures and account reconciliation. u2022 Understanding of general accounting principles and practices. u2022 Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. u2022 Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders. u2022 Previous experience in a contract-to-permanent position is a plus.
