Job Title: Shipping Manager Job Description The Shipping Manager will oversee the shipment of products to both international and domestic customers, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of all shipments. This role involves inventory management and meeting documented service requirements while ensuring the Operations staff meets or exceeds customer service delivery commitments. Responsibilities + Ensure on-time delivery of shipments and the accuracy of shipping documentation. + Manage inventory and ensure compliance with documented service requirements. + Oversee the operations staff to meet or exceed customer service delivery commitments. + Use software to track, check, prioritize, and route orders. + Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment. + Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders. + Supervise and lead subordinates such as receiving clerks and order pickers. + Control the budget of the shipping department and ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies. + Report on activities and issues to management. + Collaborate with managers to optimize processes and resolve issues regarding shipped orders. Essential Skills + Proven experience as a shipping manager. + Solid knowledge of logistics procedures. + Experience in using EDI and preparing shipping documents, such as ASN. + Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. + Good understanding of budgeting and reporting. + Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates. + Excellent organizational and communication skills. + Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with ERP systems. + Proficiency in inventory control and warehouse management. + Ability to supervise and manage logistics operations. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
