As a Financial Navigator, you will meet with patients to reviewfinancial responsibilityand develop a plan to coordinate resources to supplement patients’ out of pocket expenses.This role directly supports cancer patients and their families as they navigate coverage, benefits, and financial care pathways—ensuring they can focus on treatment.A caregiver in this position worksdays, from 8:00am—4:30pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Promote an integrated/coordinate approach to managing the continuum of care and financial obligations for the patient and their family members.Serve as a liaison to patients with internal and external resources for co-payassistance,drug replacement, financialassistanceand psychosocialassistance.Develop standard operating procedures to guide and build a program that effectively supports the care andfinancial responsibilityof patients.Implement new processes to guide patients to theappropriate resourcesand support services.Meet new patientstothe Institute, promoting available programs and services.Educate patients on availability of Patient Assistance Programs.Identify,evaluate, andresolvecancer patient complaints.Assess eligibility andassistself-pay andunder-insuredpatients with Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) for free drug, replacementdrugand copayassistance.Coordinate with clinical teams and social workers inidentifyingeligible patients and obtaining information and documentation for them.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Associate’s degree in finance,businessor a related fieldThree years of related experience in a healthcare environment or medical office setting with diverse patient/culture populationsExperience with computers and navigating multiple systems simultaneouslyKnowledge of insurance coverage, limitations, requirements, eligibility, pharmacy formulary, prior authorization, coordination of benefits, diagnosis codes, billing and collectingPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor’s degreeAdditionalprogressively responsible experience may substitute the education requirementPersonal Protective Equipment: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $18.88Maximum hourly: $28.80The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
