Does that sound like you?The Opportunity with McKinstryAt McKinstry, our Remote Operations Center (ROC) is redefining how building controls are delivered-remotely, intelligently, and at scale. As the Building Controls Team Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a high-impact Remote Operations Controls team and overseeing ROC controls contracts that support some of our most complex and strategic client environments.This role blends people leadership, technical depth, and operational excellence. You'll guide the day-to-day performance of the ROC controls team while helping shape how our remote controls services evolve, scale, and deliver consistent value across regions. From supporting complex integrations to developing future leaders, you'll help turn strategy into execution-and execution into repeatable success.Key responsibilities for this position include:Lead and inspire a Remote Operations Controls team, setting clear expectations, priorities, and performance standardsPartner with the Senior Program Manager to plan resources and ensure client scopes are delivered efficiently and effectivelyAct as a technical and operational escalation point, supporting complex projects and cross-team coordinationDrive scope clarity, quality assurance, and delivery excellence across ROC controls contractsSupport business development efforts by providing context, technical insight, and continuity-helping strengthen partnerships and long-standing client relationshipsCoordinate resources and workflows across regions, ensuring the right expertise is applied at the right timeFoster strong cross-regional and cross-functional collaboration within a national ROC modelParticipate in limited on-call and after-hours support as part of a national escalation rotationDevelop and mentor direct reports, growing capability, ownership, and trust through increasing responsibility and leadership opportunitiesWhat You Need to Succeed at McKinstryTechnical degree or Bachelor's degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Data, or related discipline preferred)7-10+ years of experience in building controls, with a strong understanding of system integration strategiesDemonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and drive accountabilityStrong, proactive communicator-comfortable escalating issues and aligning stakeholders internally and externallyProven experience balancing technical execution with people leadershipAbility to manage competing priorities while maintaining delivery quality and client confidenceSolid project management skills with a track record of organized, reliable executionExperience with people and project management systems such as PACE, Workday, Viewpoint, payroll, timesheets, and budgeting toolsPeopleFirst BenefitsWhen it comes to the basics, we have you covered:Competitive pay401(k) with employer match and profit-sharing planPaid time off and holidaysComprehensive medical, prescription, dental, and vision with low or zero deductible options and low out of pocket maximumsPeople come first at McKinstry, and we go beyond the basic benefits with:Family formation benefits
