As a National Senior Movable Bridge Project Manager, you will play a key role in positioning our team to win key movable bridge projects throughout the country and be a vital member of our Transportation market that focuses on both vehicular and rail bridges. When you join us, youu2019ll serve in key technical and management roles on movable bridge projects - performing complex structural planning, analysis, and design, leading design teams, managing project work, and serving as a representative of Jacobs at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.Weu2019ll challenge you with growth opportunities, including active engagement with business development, client presentations, proposal preparation, estimating project costs, contract negotiations, and overseeing and ensuring that project quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met - all of which help ensure the successful delivery of the project from beginning to end.Key responsibilities:u2022 When serving in the capacity as a Project Manager, be responsible for the overall management, coordination and delivery of design for movable bridges projects, including Design-Build projects.u2022 Serve as a technical resource and lead staff for engineering analysis and design of complex movable bridges and have a proven background of technical leadership on structural transportation projects.u2022 Establish work plans and multidisciplinary staffing for movable bridge projects and assisting on assignment of project personnel. Plan, direct and coordinate staff, often involving multi-office execution.u2022 Directing and coordinating the activities of Project Engineers, Engineers and Technicians to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budgets.u2022 Work directly with project controls and scheduling staff to manage the project, analyze Earned Value and Schedule performance, and effectively collaborate with team interfaces to ensure project goals and objectives are met within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.u2022 Ensure the overall quality and coordination of the work performed, manage client interfaces, utilize staff efficiently, uphold the reputation of the team and Jacobs, oversee contract management, billing collection, and control project profitability.u2022 Mentor and train staff level engineers.u2022 Active involvement with the recruitment and retention of key movable bridge staff.u2022 Active involvement with thought leadership including participation on technical committees and submission of papers/presentations to major bridge conferences.u2022 Serve as a representative of Jacobs at key client meetings, conferences, presentations and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.u2022 Active engagement with business development, client presentations, proposal preparation, estimating project costs, and contract negotiations by working closely with sales and operations teams to drive the positioning and winning of movable bridge projects across the Americas.The final candidate can work out of any Jacobs U.S. office including but not limited to: New York, New York, Boston, Massachusetts, Morristown, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Baltimore, Maryland, Washington DC, Reston Virginia, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale or Miami Florida, Dallas, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia, Chicago, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, Indianapolis, Indiana, Mendota Heights, Minnesota, Las Vegas, Nevada, Seattle or Bellevue, Washington, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Los Angeles or San Francisco, California, and Tempe, Arizona. u2022 Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited Degree).u2022 Professional Engineer (PE) in the US.u2022 15 - 20 years min. of experience in movable bridge structural engineering with demonstrated experience on various types of bridges, to include analysis, design and plan development on new and rehabilitated movable bridge projects.u2022 Experience serving as a Project/Deputy Project Manager, Project Engineer and/or Lead Structural Engineer on complex movable bridge projects.u2022 Established relationships with movable bridge clients.u2022 Demonstrated ability to assemble complete plans, specifications and estimates for project deliverables.u2022 Must have a solid understanding of, and practical experience applying the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO LRFD Movable Bridge Design Specifications and AREMA movable bridge design recommendations to transportation structures.u2022 Be a recognized thought leader in the movable bridge marketplace.u2022 Must have excellent communication skills with focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.Ideally, Youu2019ll Also Have:u2022 MSCE or Masters of Structural Engineering.u2022 PE in multiple states.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
