Role Overview The Inclusion & Partnerships Intern will contribute to national inclusion and partnership efforts that strengthen external relationships, deepen workforce insights, and enhance work-winning strategies. This role offers hands-on exposure to relationship-building, strategic planning, data interpretation, and collaboration across the business. The intern will gain practical experience in outreach, research, and partnership engagement while learning how inclusion shapes business outcomes at an enterprise level. The intern will work with the Inclusion team and report to the National Director of Inclusion & Partnerships. The role will engage with external organizations, universities, professional associations, and community groups, while also connecting with internal partners such as Human Resources, Communications, Market Strategy, Operations and regional inclusion contacts to help advance national priorities. Key Responsibilities + Engage with external organizations, universities, and industry groups aligned with inclusion, talent, and community impact. + Manage partner-related information and help maintain clarity around engagement activity and opportunities. + Conduct research on organizations, sectors, and trends that align with Skanskau2019s national inclusion priorities. + Create materials that outline partnership opportunities, value alignment, and potential collaboration paths. + Contribute to pursuit materials that highlight inclusion strengths, relationships, and outcomes. + Gather content, data, and narratives relevant to client expectations and project pursuits. + Research market expectations, benchmarks, and client priorities connected to inclusion. + Contribute to storytelling that elevates impactful partnerships, outcomes, and examples of inclusion in practice. Learning & Development Opportunities + Exposure to national inclusion strategy through Partnerships, Workforce Planning, and Work Winning. + Experience with relationship-building, outreach, business alignment, and external engagement. + Skill development in research, strategic communication, project coordination, and data interpretation. + Mentorship from the National Director of Inclusion & Partnerships, plus opportunities to join learning sessions, external events, and internal conversations. Qualifications & Skills + Undergraduate candidate in a related field (e.g., Business, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing). + No prior experience required. + Interest in inclusion, community engagement, workforce development, and business strategy. + Ability to analyze information, draw clear insights, and communicate findings effectively. + Strong organization and timeu2011management skills with attention to detail and follow-through. + Clear written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and represent Skanska professionally. + Curious, proactive, and adaptable with a desire to learn through exploration and collaboration. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
